Grade 8 Scholarships 2027

Treverton College offers several Scholarships for students with exceptional talent in the Academic and Extra Curricular arenas. The awards are made at the discretion of the College and are based on past achievements in these areas, a personal interview with a member of the Scholarship Committee, and the student's performances in the Scholarship exams.

As a scholarship candidate, we are looking for someone who identifies strongly with the ethos of Treverton and seeks to be a flag bearer of the school. First and foremost, they should be someone who will lead by example in their conduct, character and attitude, valuing sportsmanship, diligence, commitment and integrity above performance and prestige.

we invite applicants in the following categories:
Academic Scholarship

An average of over 80%. A copy of the Grade 6 year end school report must be attached to the scholarship application. Including supporting documents such as certificates and awards can be beneficial for the applicant.

Extra Curricular Scholarship

An average of over 60%. A copy of the Grade 6 year end school report must be attached to the scholarship application. Proven ability and achievement in sports and/or cultural activities and/or outdoor pursuits. This could include excellence in a particular field or all-around ability and achievement in several extra-curricular activities. Proof of such involvement/achievement would be in the form of provincial representation; awards received, testimonials from organising bodies, results from competitions etc.

"Trevertonacity' Scholarship

The Treverton mission statement describes the goal of "providing an all-round, balanced, quality education based on a strong Christian foundation."

The 'Trevertonacity' scholarship recognizes students who reflect the mission and values of Treverton through excelling in an 'all-round' way across multiple areas, including active participation in adventure activities and a strong Christian faith.

PAY THE APPLICATION FEE

The non-refundable application fee is R500. The application fee can be paid via EFT or bank deposit.

Proof of payment must be emailed through to admin@treverton.co.za together with all supporting documents.

ASSESSMENTS & INTERVIEWS

Should the candidate meet the criteria, they will receive an invitation for an interview and will be required to write an examination in person at Treverton College.

SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS

After the consideration of the results of the scholarship exam and interview, an offer of enrollment will be made to the family.

PAY THE ENROLLMENT FEE

In order to accept the enrollment offer a non-refundable fee must be paid upfront as well as a returned signed enrollment contract, for the student to be considered enrolled.
