CHAMPIONING CURIOSITY, CREATIVITY, & CONFIDENCE IN GRADES 000 — R
Driven by a sense of wonder, young learners are wired to play. It is through play that they explore concepts, environments, and relationships. Their brains are absorbing their interactions, discoveries, and resolutions rapidly. Harnessing this phase of life and natural curiosity, we build a foundation of learning in a child that is pivotal to later success in academia and more formal learning environments.
Curriculum
TREVERTON PRE-PREP: 000 — R
Specialist educators draw on various age-appropriate strategies to maximise student learning and engagement.
They introduce literacy, numeracy, thinking, and communication skills through playful repetition, movement, and song. The challenge is championed as the catalyst to form memory markers of heightened experiences: experiences aimed at igniting curiosity and building confidence, encompassed by the safety of consistent boundaries of care and love.
Our Pre-Prep Campus recognises that learning happens in our natural environment, playground, and classroom. Students move between these three areas with ease and comfort as they gain gross motor skills, fine motor skills and social skills. Care and attention are given to laying key foundational "stones" of creativity, reasoning, and memory.
Unearthing and developing the wonderful and unique creative capacity and intelligence of every one of our "little" human beings is a privilege.
Our curriculum comprises numeracy, literacy, music, movement, and ball skills lessons.
Sport
TREVERTON PRE-PREP: GRADE 000 — R
Our Pre-Preppies are fast developing, yet are not ready to compete! We focus on developing and strengthening their ball skills, core abilities and aptitude towards physical movement. In the summer, our Pre-Preppies attend learn-to-swim lessons with their classes to introduce water safety and begin their journey to becoming confident little swimmers.
Fun water days and sports days are an introduction to inter-house activities they will start in their Grade 1 year. These are great to attend and support as a parent.
