Our Uniform

A child’s appearance impacts his/her attitude and behaviour. School pride, respect for the school community, and the education process are partly shown by the child’s attire and grooming. Our school policy is that all children wear a school uniform when attending school, a school outing and school-related activities where appropriate.

The Wearhouse stocks all new uniforms as well as a range of very reasonably priced, quality second-hand clothing. New students enrolling at Treverton will be guided in making an appointment with the Wearhouse Manager for a uniform fitting. This appointment can take up to an hour and ensures the child is fitted correctly.

Treverton has two seasonal uniforms, summer and winter. Summer is work in Terms 1 and 4, and Winter in Terms 2 and 3.

Treverton’s uniform has a few branded and unbranded items, allowing parents to shop around for unbranded ones.

TRADING HOURS

During the school term, the shop is open daily from Monday to Friday, 7h30 – 16h00 and closed between 11h30 - 12h30 for lunch. It only opens on Saturdays, for new pupils, by advance appointment with parents.

New parents are advised to make appointments when purchasing uniforms during school holidays or in the mornings during term time.

PAYMENT

The uniform shop also operates a direct debit card cash withdrawal system. Scholars who hold debit cards can withdraw up to R200 during shop opening times, preventing the need to go to town for this purpose.

We ask that pupils get their parent´s permission before buying anything at the uniform shop. If necessary, we will put aside the required goods until we have that permission.

LABELLING

All uniforms must be marked. Name tapes for clothing may be ordered through The Wearhouse. Depending on the season, an order takes about two to three weeks to arrive in Mooi River. Gauteng parents may order name tapes from McCullagh & Bothwell in Hyde Park, Johannesburg on +27 (0)11 325 4331.
