Treverton College provides a quality all-round education as a co-educational, predominantly boarding school. The Christian ethos, which permeates school life, is a defining characteristic of Treverton. Bible education classes, Sunday evening chapel services and SCA meetings are just some of the opportunities offered for pupils' spiritual development.
Treverton teachers strive for academic excellence in the classroom, while a diverse range of sporting codes and a vibrant cultural programme complement the learning process. Outdoor Pursuit is a central part of Treverton’s product offering, with a vast range of activities that provide ideal opportunities for personal growth. Well-equipped boarding houses with resident houseparents, a professionally manned sick bay, and ample emotional support facilities provide an excellent boarding experience for pupils.
Treverton is a pupil-centered school where the core values of integrity, self-discipline, accountability, and mutual respect are promoted. Based on Christian principles, balanced education provides a solid platform from which Trevertonians can step into the adult world as confident, well-adjusted members of society.

We believe we are the right-fit school for parents who want to be involved in every aspect of their child’s learning and families who love spending time together and look for any opportunity or “excuse” to be with each other. We love learning and doing life together with the backdrop of beautiful mountains as we explore and enjoy the gifts and abilities that Father God has given every one of us.
Treverton Prep School can be found on the ridge east of the N3 and the town of Mooi River. The prep school campus and buildings overlook the town of Mooi River toward the majestic Drakensberg range. At the same time, the extensive estate of the College and wildlife area stretch toward the banks of the Mooi River in the valley.
The natural environment and greater outdoors are vital elements of every educational experience in our physical location. The school is old enough to stand on rich traditions, love God, be kind, work hard, and play fair, but it is young enough to be flexible and relevant to the present generation of learners. We are grounded in the Christian faith, in which every person is recognised and valued as a unique and miraculous creation of Father God.
We are a co-educational school that begins with Grade 000 and is a small boarding establishment of 30 children – intentionally planned this way. We firmly believe that one of our primary roles as a school is to partner with every family that walks their life journey with us. We want to co-labour with parents in the academic learning and extension of their children and, more importantly, in providing opportunities for families to build strong and robust relationships with each other and the greater school community.
We subscribe to a general, all-round and balanced education. We encourage every child to take a chance at everything “new”. We strive to provide a safe environment and breadth of opportunities for the learners to participate and get involved. Learning how to climb a tree or navigate an MTB route through a frisbee and delight in running along a cut trail in the wildlife estate is equally important to exploring, investigating and learning in the classroom. Human intelligence, learning and creativity are embedded in wholesome experiential learning.
