Old Trevertonians Association
WELCOME
Though our Old Trevertonians are now spread across the globe, you will always remain one of us. You are part of the wider Treverton family - a Trevertonian, carrying our spirit beyond the stars. The chief aim of the Old Trevertonians’ Association is to foster meaningful connections: connecting Old Trevertonians to one another, to Treverton and its functions, to the continued growth of the school, and to both past and present learners, while preserving and strengthening the proud culture of Treverton.
History of OTA
Early in the 1970s, not long after Treverton’s first matriculation class had graduated, the College Headmaster, Mr John Robertson, recognised the need to establish a formal Old Trevertonian Association so that pupils could remain connected to the school after matriculating.
Michael Ducray (Class of 1974) was approached to serve as Founder Chairman and agreed to draft a constitution. The Old Trevertonian Association was officially formed, and a committee was duly elected.
Since its inception, the OTA community has continued to grow and evolve. The OTA Committee strives to remain relevant to its alumni and increasingly influential in pursuing its aims.
Connect
WAYS TO CONNECT
The Old Trevertonians Association aims to add value for its alumni by fostering connections with fellow Old Trevertonians and with the school itself. There are many opportunities to stay connected, including active social media pages, a WhatsApp community, an email database, and regional branches that meet regularly in different locations.
We encourage all alumni to actively engage with one another and participate in the OTA community - it starts with you.
Events
Connecting Through Events
Founders Day remains the largest OTA gathering of the year. Reunions traditionally take place on this day, which is generally held in May. The OTA Office is delighted to assist with planning reunions. Other OTA events include regional gatherings, Bowls Days, Golf Days, and various school productions.
Old Trevertonians are welcome to book school tours with the OTA Office at any time.
The OTA Committee also encourages attendance at AGMs to help guide the future direction of the OTA.
