Robyn started her studies at Stellenbosch University in 2010, an undergraduate in Sports Science majoring in psychology, she specialised in Disabilities. She continued studying up at the University of Zululand in 2013, doing a BSc honours in Biokinetics. She was awarded DUX of 2013.
She then continued with an internship under Jimmy Wright, working at Sharks, Prime Human Performance Institute, Centre for Sport Medicine Umhlanga Hospital and Sharks Medical. Because of her passion for rugby this internship was well suited to her and thoroughly enjoyed.
Once her internship was completed she worked for Morne Booysen, after a year she opened her own private practice and continues to practice from Hilton. Robyn has developed an interest in chronic diseases and rehabilitation of these, as well as working with the younger population and sports injuries.
Robyn joined the Treverton team in May 2017. She thoroughly enjoys being able to work with the kids and with the entire medical staff as a team towards ensuring the best treatment for the children right on their doorstep. Seeing the children’s progress and being able to watch them get stronger, injury free and get back onto the field is her ultimate. She is passionate about finding any underlying problems, postural issues and injuries as soon as possible, she says being able to attend to all these problems while patients are still young, makes for the best outcome.
