You are strongly encouraged to involve yourself with your child’s academic progress and the following channels of communication are the correct ones to follow. If you have a specific subject-related concern, please contact the subject teacher first. Thereafter the subject head may be consulted if you deem it necessary. For academic queries of a more general nature, the Academic Head or the appropriate Grade Head should be contacted.
Treverton is committed to keeping you well-informed about your child’s academic progress. A termly report will be e-mailed to you and teachers will enlighten you as early as possible if a negative academic pattern is developing. The key to academic success is committed teachers and hard-working pupils, both of which are characteristic of Treverton.
Reporting on pupils’ academic progress is done at the end of each of the 4 terms. It is worth noting that the June and December reports carry a significantly greater weighting as they incorporate exam marks as well as term marks.
Treverton believes in continuous assessment and pupils are regularly assessed by means of projects, class activities, class tests, as well as control tests. It is important for the school to have your correct e-mail address to ensure that you receive your child’s reports.
Treverton follows the Independent Examination Board (I.E.B) curriculum, culminating in Grade 12, when they write their National Senior Certificate (NSC).
